Take Care of Your New Hob Oven

Oven Rescue Group, Oven Cleaners, Oven Cleaning

You need to clean and maintain the hood and the hob frequently in order to maintain it well.
Here are a few tips that will help to maintain your new hob and oven well.

Ideally it is important that you clean your oven after every use. Any kind of spillage, especially acidic like vinegar or pickles etc, should ideally be cleaned off promptly so as to avoid stubborn stains or corrosive reactions. This is just basic cleaning that will ensure that there is no grease accumulation in your oven. Water and baking soda do the job pretty well. To do this make sure that your hob oven has completely cooled down before starting with your cleaning job.
You can begin by removing any burnt food attached to the hob or oven. For ceramic hobs scrapers are easily available which are non-abrasive. These scrapers should be used with a little care so as not to damage the hob.

Wiping the hood is also very important. The smoke and steam that comes off gets settled on the hood and needs to be cleaned after every use so as to avoid piling of dirt and grease. Warm soapy water works well for cleaning the hood.

Quite a few pieces of the oven are detachable making the cleaning process that much easier. Removing and cleaning the pieces separately makes the job fairly easy. In case of most of the ovens, the hot plates can be removed and submerged in water to give it a thorough clean up. Although not necessary after every single use, it is advisable to do it frequently to keep your oven as good as new. For all your cleaning jobs you should ideally go for cleansers that are made for oven cleaning alone and are mild. Harsh soaps and cleansers might spoil the surface of your ovens.

If you are going for any new cleaning agents, it is always better to read all the directions on the label. This is important as there might be different cleaning agents for different types of hobs and ovens such as glass, ceramic, stainless steel etc and using one for the other might spoil the surface of the ovens. When using these cleaning fluids spray these on to the hob and give it sometime to soak up the grime before wiping it off.

You should ideally make use of a microfibre cloth for ceramic hobs so that the surface does not get scratched. In case of stubborn stains, you can also try making use of a scrunched new paper which is rough enough but not too much to cause damage. Nevertheless try these on a small patch before starting with the whole appliance.

Alternatively you can rely on Oven Rescue to clean for oven, hob, BBQ etc. It is so much easier!
